DISCOVERIES OF THE WEEK
Born of the association of the couple comprised of Bianca Lambert and Thomas Wilson, CAPRA DESIGNS – an Australian studio – has just unveiled its latest collection: Match Stick, a series of vases and pots that have the peculiarity of having copper sticks and zinc encrusted... A Luxurious finish Which also introduces a new color in the range used by the studio, the intense red Garnet.
SAVVY STUDIO has lately designed an innovative store project, revealing the concept of the brand Depop, an application to discover and buy trendy clothes. Located in Los Angeles, this boutique with an accessible and casual look gives life to the application, inviting its followers in an interior that resembles them...
Designer DUBCHAK DIMA Imagined a series of cabinets with offset geometry, as if the standard rectangular frame was not necessarily the storage area. Turn to all colorful, patterned, oval or round, these Hybrid Furniture seem to evolve and move before our eyes... Interesting work!
Hagit Pincovici X Studio Milo
The STUDIO MILO produced the catalogue of the latest collection of the designer HAGIT PINCOVICI, in setting up the furniture of the creator in a futuristic and mystical universe. We easily recognize the unique touch of the studio, who also spearheaded the booth of CC-TapisinMilan this year, brand for which the designer also did some pieces.
Lucca Zeray Studio
The New York designer LUCCA ZERAY has created a collection called Work to Play, designed for durability, simplicity and above all accessibility. Indeed Lucca promotes well-made and affordable furniture for all, regardless of the socioeconomic environment from which we are from. For the designer, "having access to well-made and affordable objects is a right, not a choice".
As part of the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale, the Italian gallery A PLUS A presents an exceptional exhibition – The House Electric, from May 17 to August 11, 2018 – including the work of the studio M-L-XL, a collection born out of the search of designers – Marco Campardo and Lorenzo Mason – On the use of an L-aluminum profile to create furniture. Thus, the furniture presented oscillates between Experimentation and innovation… A crush!
Designer NICHOLAS BAKER Worked the folding in an incongruous manner, with a mirror... Indeed, the purpose here was to create an everyday object, simple and functional, and which would have the peculiarity of bending for different uses: to be able to be posed or to bring the possibility of From a different angle, or serve as a book-hugger. Smart.
The French designer of luxury Furniture NICOLAS AUBAGNAC recently created a collection of side tables called Comète. Lacquered in order to obtain a gradient base, these pieces of furniture have a strong visual and sculptural impact that we undeniably love.
The Parisian studio of architecture and design NOCOD – comprised of Floriane Tartar and Baptiste Dosne – imagined the Narcisse chair, which, unlike the legend, reflects its environment. It becomes what surrounds it, adapting to the materials, colors and light that the space is giving it. The Vanity mirror, is a combined search between rituals and everyday objects.
Cito Balesta and Marta Ayala, from PELONIO COMUNICACION's design team, have designed a range of display furniture playing on basic geometric shapes and simple and noble materials (granite, glass, steel) for Spanish footwear brand Mustang. In the respect of the brand spirit, the entire collection is manufactured locally, in Madrid.
