Here is Andrés Reisinger's one-off online auction

The year 2020, and despite all the challenges it has brought, also amplified a new creative ambition. Indeed, all areas, and especially design, looked for refuge solutions to make the best use of digital tools, which, fortunately, our era has allowed us to do, and above all, making possible the human link although distant.

The relationship to culture, to the discovery of new projects is nowadays all the more essential as our minds need to escape, to function, to connect through a common passion. The Shipping, what is it?

The Shipping, by Andrés Reisinger, is a new concept of digital auction that highlights a collection of ten unusual pieces of furniture, which are already well-known creations of the studio (see the Hydrangea chair for instance), as well as novelties with hybrid design. Five of these creations will be delivered with their physical counterparts, however, all are intended to be digitally implanted in any open world. These incredible objects are presented with the promise that their existence will be repeated in the future, to continue to be compatible with the real world and its evolution, hopefully, towards more exchanges and projects.

This project is the new materialization - although digital - of the talent and creativity of Andrés Reisinger, to keep in touch with fans of his work, collectors, and other passionate protagonists of the art and design community. The Shipping is the manifestation of a new hybrid reality. In fact, Andrés, with his accomplices from Reisinger Studio, is setting up a first online auction here on February 19, 2021, and will last 24 hours presenting the creations of the collection The Shipping. Normally only revealed at the start of the auction, we are pleased to illustrate the project with some first images.

VIP collectors will have the possibility to make a presale for the works in the collection (does not apply to licenses). The exhibition will consist of 10 illustrations and only 5 of them will take the form of physical furniture. 1 work will be a personalized piece of furniture. All of them will be accompanied by 3D illustrations where each piece is seen in a unique environment specific to Andrés Reisinger's universe.

All pieces will include a single illustration in NFT file + a GLB / GLTF 3D model of the furniture (GLB / GLTF is a universal format that can be used for Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Unity, Unreal, SketchFab, inclusion in metaverses such as Decentraland, Somnium Space, Mixed Reality, Facebook, etc.).

Andrés Reisinger: bridging realities

The auction The Shipping, but also, and above all, the work of the Reisinger Studio in general, is centered on the will to reveal a third space, somewhere between physical and digital, as a finally materialized frontier. Thanks to digital technology, the designer explores and offers a creation mode freed from all spatial and temporal constraints, thus moving towards a new era, that of hybrid reality where art and design are free to exist only for their appearance. Highly sensory and sensitive, the visuals he produces call for a first reaction from the spectator, guided by the sight and feeling of the mind.

Let's take the example of the Hydrangea chair, the 3D file has naturally evolved to a physical object, truly anchored in the world, thus connecting virtual and real worlds, image enthusiasts, and the world of design. It is this in-between worlds that The Shipping tends to emphasize, this notion that everything is connected, including the minds of humans, whether designers or collectors: Andrés Reisinger works for the principle of unity. With this online auction, the artist proves and calls for detachment from the tactile aspect in order to learn to appreciate an artwork for what it has to offer in terms of its raw, pure, singular nature.
